In recent years, one of the biggest achievements for Jason International has been the launch of its revolutionary MicroSilk® Hydrotherapy in 2011. MicroSilk has completely changed the bathing experience.”
MicroSilk super-saturates water with billions of oxygen-rich microbubbles, increasing oxygen levels up to 70% higher than common tap water. It results in a luxurious cloud of oxygen bubbles that blanket the body, energizing skin cells, stimulating the immune system, killing bacteria and promoting healing.
“In 2014, we released the third generation of MicroSilk which features 70% higher levels
of oxygen and a 7-gpm ow rate,” Paulo described. “It measures 80,000 negatives ions per CC , well above the 50,000 CCs, which is considered a therapeutic level. In addition,
it contributes 1.04 degrees to the water temperature every ve minutes to keep it
at a comfortable level throughout the bath. The system uses antimicrobial materials and requires no maintenance, which is a huge bene t to the users. We have also reduced the equipment size it requires to create the microbubbles, and so it is now able to be included on over 90% of our tub offerings. The performance of MicroSilk as a beauty and skin wellness product has opened our sales channels to health-bene t-related sales, in additional to traditional home consumers.”
“What many may not realize is that the driver behind MicroSilk was really my sister Jennifer [Jacuzzi Peregrin], who worked here for 30
years,” noted Paulo. “She was actively involved in all of our brainstorming sessions as we were determining the concept and design direction for MicroSilk. One of Jennifer’s biggest contribution was the emphasis on creating a product that would have a moisturizing effect on skin than traditional soap and water. And that would be so ergonomically comfortable that it cradles the body into total relaxation. Jennifer’s contributions were central to our end result.”
Paulo also credits Jennifer, who joined their father in the business during its rst year and retired about four years ago, for many other contributions during her years of service.
“For a time, we got into the spa business, but dropped that from our offerings after about four or ve years,” he said. “Much of the credit for that decision should go to my sister Jennifer because she continually charged us to stay true to our original vision of serving the woman bather. It really boiled down to improving lives through bathing.
“Comfort was also a major focus for my sister. While it is important to give the market what they desire, you ultimately have to consider comfort. She worked very closely with our engineering team to create ergonomically friendly designs.”
In addition to MicroSilk, Jason International also offers three other types of hydrotherapy:
