Nearly a year later John realized he wasn’t happy with the direction and business culture at Elk and parted ways to pursue other options.
“I was 59 years old and for the  rst time in
my life, I put together a resume and started interviewing and talking with headhunters,” he described. “I called up Jim Babbitt [president
of DPHA] and told him I was looking for a
new position. Coincidentally, only moments earlier Jim had been on the phone with Josef Moskovic who had shared that Franz Viegener was searching for someone to run the company. That challenge was exactly what I wanted.”
A STYLE ALL THEIR OWN
Franz Viegener stocks their chrome and nickel products for the U.S. market in Gurnee, Ill.,
a northern suburb of Chicago. According to Weinstein, faucets with their other  nishes arrive within six to eight weeks from Buenos Aires.
Weinstein spends a lot of time gathering customer feedback and studying trends and color within the design and fashion industries. Franz Viegener actually ...produces nine  nishes, including PVD polished and brushed gold, PVD Rose Gold, PVD ORB, black chrome and  at black.
It’s important, however that while they stay on trend, the looks are classic. “Our products will be staying in people’s homes for years,”
