Nearly a year later John realized he wasn’t happy with the direction and business culture at Elk and parted ways to pursue other options.
“I was 59 years old and for the rst time in
my life, I put together a resume and started interviewing and talking with headhunters,” he described. “I called up Jim Babbitt [president
of DPHA] and told him I was looking for a
new position. Coincidentally, only moments earlier Jim had been on the phone with Josef Moskovic who had shared that Franz Viegener was searching for someone to run the company. That challenge was exactly what I wanted.”
A STYLE ALL THEIR OWN
