A renewed focus
About four years ago, as Remo C. Jacuzzi retired, the board decided to hire a new president who was an experienced business leader but was not part of the family or previously af liated with the company.
It was not a decision that had the desired results, and it took Jason in a direction that wasn’t true to their core. As a result, after a year, the board decided to return to its roots and chose Paulo Jacuzzi as President and CEO.
“During the transition, we lost focus on what we are about,” Paulo said. “We weren’t honoring our relationships in the way we wanted to. We had moved into producing commodities, and that wasn’t true to our vision. We do not want to just sell baths or chase the sales of tubs that just  ll a hole in a second bathroom.
“We know who we are and what we do best. We are selling the bathing experience and improving our customers’ health and lives.
We want to make sure that our customers are getting the best experience they can. We also know who we are here to serve — and that is the woman bather. They are the foundation that we are built on and will continue to build those relationships. And we’re seeing a greater interest from men as well. They’re starting to appreciate the bene ts of products like ours and having that little bit of time to themselves to unwind at the end of a long day.”
Paulo is very involved with customer tours and training sessions at the Little Rock headquarters, as well as representing Jason at industry events around the country. He thrives on creating relationships through face-to-face contact with customers. Paulo works closely with the sales and customer service team, which he believes is critical in helping him know what the company is doing right and where there is room for improvement.
Paulo has come full circle at Jason International. He began working for the company upon its founding in 1982 and held roles in sales, marketing and management along the way. He holds a business management degree, and oversees accounting, human resources, marketing, customer service, sales and IT. He takes his role as President and CEO very seriously and was introspective in describing his growth at the company.
“As the youngest of six children, I assumed the self-imposed role of ‘Son,’ ‘Little Brother’ or ‘Mascot’ within the family dynamic. I worked
