In 1946, Charles Greenspon opened the doors of Banner Plumbing Supply, then housed in a 3-flat building on Chicago’s South Side. Today, the company boasts 2 locations, one in Chicago and one in Buffalo Grove, with more than 125,000 square feet of warehouse space to accommodate the trade and a 15,000 square foot award-winning state-of-the-art kitchen and bath showroom, complete with creative designers and support staff.

Banner has grown and changed in many ways but the high level of customer service synonymous with the Banner name has proudly stayed the same.

Baths of America is a family-owned and operated business founded in 2004. Baths of America is a luxury home gallery specializing in plumbing fixtures, kitchen appliances, decorative hardware, countertops, and cabinetry. Their newest 9,000-square-foot showroom features more than 200 working products, one of the highest amounts in the state of Texas for a showroom of its price range.

Over they years thought strategic supplier partnerships Heatwave expanded facilities and created a destination showroom experience. The company’s 40-plus employees stand out from the crowd with more 450 years of combined experience in the industry. From the largest physical plant and inventory of any wholesaler in Oklahoma, to a staff with hundreds of years of combined experience, the “House of Friendly Service” has truly become “A Company with Stock in the Community.”

Creating an Immersive Enviorment

In 1972 Bonner Hubbard opened Hubbard Pipe and Supply in Fayetteville NC. He founded a simple plumbing wholesale supply company that began in one small section of the existing warehouse. The business eventually expanded throughout the building and into two adjacent buildings. Bonner and his wife Dot, both passed away in 2002 leaving the business to be run by their son-in-law and daughter Wilson and Nancy Teachey, and their son David Hubbard.

In 2004, Wilson, Nancy, and David opened Hubbard Kitchen and Bath Showroom in an adjacent building to expand the decorative plumbing offerings and to create an environment where customers could see and feel product offerings in the application. The company has seen much growth and expansion over the years but has strived to remain true to Bonner Hubbard’s legacy of service and integrity.

Today with 10 supply house locations and eight designer showrooms, Hubbard has grown to be so much more than “pipes and supplies.” In 2013, Hubbard added lighting to its showrooms that showcase the latest in the decorative plumbing and lighting fixtures as well as a sampling of home accessories and lamps. Their custom-styled showrooms come with personal attention and industry-trained professionals who can help you select the perfect fixtures for your home to match your budget and style. South Pasadena, CA

Creative Beginnings

The idea for Mission Tile West emerged in 1984, while Mission West Kitchen and Bath co-owners Thano Adamson and his parents, John and Dina Adamson, were visiting Dina’s family in Mexico. While there, they visited with Dina’s brother, Tony Kyriakis, who owned a tile factory in Nogales. Tony produced beautiful custom tile for the Mexican market but had no one to sell his products in California.

At the time, Thano had just graduated from UCLA with an economics major and was eager to start a business. Selling his uncle’s tile in California seemed like a natural fit. With John’s financial help and guidance and Dina’s natural design ability, the family opened a little tile shop called Mexican Tile West in September of 1984. At this time, the business was just a 100-square foot showroom in the corner of the current South Pasadena location, which was originally John’s contractor’s office.

In 2005, Mission West Kitchen and Bath opened its doors at the original South Pasadena location with the motto “Why Go All Over Town.” Mission West Kitchen and Bath has been successful in providing clients with easy access to all the designer elements they need to complete a kitchen or bath remodel under one roof, as well as with a high level of personalized service.

The Family Business

In 1941, George Moluf and his wife, Olga, opened their first modern plumbing showroom located on Meeting Street in Charleston, SC. During World War II Mr. Moluf joined the Coast Guard and closed the business. After his service in the war, he reopened on Charlotte Street, where it operated for approximately 25 years.

In 1971 he relocated to East Bay Street where Moluf’s Supply remains today, with three beautifully redesigned showrooms displaying state-of-the-art working kitchen faucets and shower systems. George Moluf’s son, Tony, now owns and operates the business. He began his work there during summers in high school and college and joined the operation full time after graduation in 1974.

Moluf’s Supply became a third-generation family-owned company in 2010 when Tony’s son, Trey, joined the company. Most recently his daughter, Sarah, began her career at Moluf’s, joining other qualified staff to help customers plan their new homes or remodeled kitchen and baths. With excellent consultants and a certified plumbing staff, Moluf’s is the perfect option for plumbers, homeowners, builders, and designers.

In 1980 Maumee Supply opened their showroom, the Kohler Bath House. Starting in 2006 and finalized in 2007, a 7000 square foot expansion and renovation to the showroom was complete.

In an effort to diversify and rebrand as a destination, the showroom reopened under the new name; Waterhouse Bath & Kitchen Studio, and specializing in unique and niche brands, custom showering and bathing system. Waterhouse has more working bathtubs, showering systems, kitchen, and lavatory faucets than any other bath and kitchen showroom between Chicago and New York.

Kohler has always been one of flagship brands of Waterhouse Bath & Kitchen Studio.
